WAIVER

  • We're stoked you've chosen to spend time outdoors with us.

    This course sits on a working farm and conservation property. Playing at Hellbender Hollow Disc Golf Park is active outdoor recreation on natural, sometimes rugged Ozark terrain.

    By entering the property, you acknowledge and accept the risks described.

    Assumption of Risk

    I understand that participation at Hellbender Hollow Disc Golf Park involves risks including, but not limited to:

    • Uneven ground, slippery / pointed rocks, and mud

    • Tree roots, steep terrain, and falling branches

    • Creek crossings with steep banks

    • Flying discs

    • Wildlife: black bear, white tail deer, armadillo, raccoon, fox, coyote, opossum, poisonous plants, venomous snakes, ticks, chiggers, mosquitoes, spiders, and other native Ozark species

    • Farm equipment, livestock, and domestic animals

    • Adverse weather conditions including tornadoes, lightning, heat, cold, flooding, and wind

    I voluntarily assume all risks associated with entering and using the property.

    Release of Liability

    In consideration for being allowed to enter and use Hellbender Hollow Disc Golf Park, I release and forever discharge GOTURSIX as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and its officers, directors, volunteers, employees, landowners, sponsors, partners, contractors, and affiliates from any claims arising from injury, illness, property damage, or death resulting from my participation, except where prohibited by Missouri law.

    Medical Authorization

    If emergency medical treatment becomes necessary and I am unable to communicate, I authorize emergency personnel to provide the treatment they determine appropriate. I understand I am responsible for all medical expenses.

    Because this course is located in a rural area, emergency response times may be longer than in urban settings.

    Participants are responsible for exercising sound judgment and playing within their abilities.

    Leave No Trace

    Please pack out everything you bring in, stay on designated fairways, and help us steward this land for those who come after you.

    I agree to:

    • Respect all course signage

    • Stay on designated fairways whenever possible

    • Not climb fences or enter restricted areas

    • Not disturb livestock or wildlife

    • Leave gates exactly as I found them

    • Pack out all trash / no glass containers

    • No illegal drugs or reckless behavior

    • Supervise children at all times

    • Keep pets on a leash

    • Yield to maintenance vehicles and volunteers

    • Never throw a disc when another person, animal, or vehicle is within range

    • Yield to faster groups and practice good disc golf etiquette

    • Suspend play immediately if lightning is present

  • Hellbender Hollow Disc Golf Park operates as a donation-supported community project.

    Donations are voluntary and do not create a commercial recreation contract.

    Proceeds support course construction and maintenance, food access initiatives, and community programming through GOTURSIX.

Meet the Course Designer
Russ "Disc Golf Monkey" Burns

Rather than waiting years to open a finished course, we've chosen to build in the open by inviting players to experience the park as it grows and to help shape its future.

We are building the park in three phases:

2026 ALPHA — Be a part of the first playable layout. Expect rugged terrain, evolving fairways, active improvements, and a few rough edges. Every round and every survey helps shape what comes next.

2027 BETA — Refined fairways, improved signage, expanded amenities, and continued testing as the course matures.

2028 GOLD — The finished vision: a championship-quality destination that reflects years of community input and thoughtful design.

2026 ALPHA COURSE FEATURES

This community-built course on 20 acres of private property in Wright County, Missouri includes:

  • Summer hours: 7 am to 7 pm

  • 12 practice baskets w/ rugged tees

  • Wooded fairways with natural lines

  • Private bookings available for events

  • Certified Officiant for Disc Golf Weddings

  • Ongoing PDGA-tournament Tee & Basket Sponsorships

  • No experience or discs required to play :)
