26 MAY 2026 EMAIL to TEAM
Hello, MRFAP Workforce Team:
I met with Amanda earlier (thank you!), and she so awesomely helped correct my meh notes with her much better notes. We ran it all through Claude AI and updated.
What we need from you:
Eyeballs pass on V2 with any feedback by COB Friday 29 MAY 2026.I added this note to the new version: For the Workforce Team:
This version used the “fancy paper” template we were given by Empower Missouri in April.
Claude AI decided to move some sections around, but all is accounted for.
You are welcome to change whatever you want with your Edit permissions.
NEXT VIRTUAL ZOOM MEETING: 28 MAY 2026 at 10:30 am https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82386042359?pwd=HjL6ErFAVgAPCP2XRehg6U0nSI7Jzb.1&jst=2
Jake, I just added your email to that Thursday invite if you are able to make it...totally cool if you (or anyone else) can't. A couple of us will be there to rep and move the draft to the narrative version for the Action Plan draft after COB Friday. Let me know if you want more time - no problem at all.
Thanks for being on the team!
Cheers,Ronda

The changes from the previous version to this updated draft are:
Section 2 — Priority Description Added three new bullet points from Amanda's Excel:
USDA inspection codes and who has authority to change them
Crop risk information for producers
Economic mobility explicitly named as a core outcome (not just implied)
Section 3 — Team Membership
Added a full Potential Partners list (9 organizations) that wasn't in the doc at all: MO Farmers Union, Dept. of Ag, Recovery Friendly Workplace/Extension, FastTrack/Dept. of Economic Development, colleges doing trainings, Ozark Farm Stop/Carissa, Yes Honey, MO Chamber of Commerce insurance pools, FSA/Farm Bureau crop insurance
Section 5 — 5-Year Goal Two significant additions:
Updated goal wording to include "resilient" at the end (Amanda's version)
Added the second sentence Amanda drafted: "Establish/systems change to promote economic mobility and the ability to enter, remain in, and advance within the food system workforce"
Added all 7 objectives Amanda outlined — this was entirely missing from the previous version and is probably the most substantive addition structurally
Section 10 — Action Items Added one new item: invite the cookie guy, pickle lady, and local butcher to share their stories directly with the team.
The objectives in Section 5 are the biggest substantive change: they give the goal real structure to build strategies and actions around.
